As the Managing Partner of Nangia & Co LLP, Suraj Nangia plays a pivotal role in the Firm’s management in addition to heading its Advisory practice which he has taken to significant heights, driving it from scratch. In 15 years of his professional experience, Suraj has established a strong standing in the socio-economic ecosystem in India as well as internationally. The firm now actively works with Large MNCs and Indian business, various state governments, ministries, public sector undertakings, and national & internal foundations, funds, and similar organisations.

At the firm level, Suraj has been instrumental in redefining the firm’s global presence by materializing its collaboration with Andersen global. This association has given the firm an international arena and expertise that helps us cater to our expansive multinational clients worldwide.

Having played different functional roles since his early professional years, Suraj is well-versed with the fundamentals of all practice verticals of the firm. He specializes in Government Advisory, M&A and transaction advisory. Suraj is a certified mergers and acquisitions advisor (CM&AA). He has served several multi-national and domestic clients on matters relating to entry strategy, acquisitions, business consolidations, re-alignment and exit structures. He has also dealt with various domestic and international tax matters for mitigating tax exposures and ensuring compliance.

An Executive MBA from the Wharton School, a qualified Chartered Accountant, a law graduate and an alumnus of the prestigious Doon School. As an expert in government policy framework, he has advised decision-makers and top officials on policies, schemes, and initiatives. As someone who constantly strives to develop himself, Suraj has also authored a book titled ‘Doing Business in India – Simplified’ which has proven to act as a reference tool for a lot of businessmen, entrepreneurs, professionals, and executives, and has been responsible to provide them with essential information about relevant legislations to establish and expand business in India.

On the personal front, Suraj is deeply passionate about mountaineering and has climbed 4 out of the seven summits – Mt. Kilimanjaro (Africa), Mt. Elbrus (Europe), Mt. Aconcagua (South America), Mt. Kosciuszko (Australia) and Mt. Cook (New Zealand).
