It’s not a news that taxpayer ratio in India is abysmal. In order to make India a tax compliant nation, the government is aiming to make the system more tax-friendly so as to minimize the distress among the taxpayers. This objective of the government is now finding support from the Indian judicial system also. Recently, judiciary has taken steps to discourage the actions of the revenue department that impact the taxpayers unfairly.
