Arindam, a Management Consultant by profession has spent three decades in the energy sector with a background in electrical engineering possess a strong analytical, presentation and interpersonal skills. He has taken lead in several performance improvement projects in power sector and has a strong track record in leveraging best practices and information technology to develop and delivering comprehensive solutions aligned to overall business strategy. He has experience in managing complex projects integrating multiple streams of solutions and aligning them to overall business objectives.  

He has assisted several power utilities in India in reducing their losses, improving their business processes relating to metering, billing and collection using new Technologies like metering systems and communication technologies to implement solutions like AMR. He was involved in developing certain bespoke solutions for power utilities such as: i) Revenue Improvement and Assurance solution to control power theft and reduce losses, ii) targeting tools using forensic data analytics to generate exception reports, iii) Energy Billing Solution for multi buyer and multi seller market, iv) Automated metering for smart grid using metering and telecommunication technologies. 

Arindam has extensive experience of working in projects with different funding agencies like the World Bank, USAID, GIZ and DFID and is well conversant with their processes. He is and has been involved in all the Power sector reform projects in India. 

Some of his key Projects are as follows: 

Developing ICT Strategy and ICT Roadmap for Dept. of Power, Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh and advising them on the digitization journey by enhancing the customer experience through apps and tools. (2020-21) 

Advising Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB), Sri Lanka in developing an IT Strategy and procurement of ERP as well as CIS (Customer Information System) solution, including development of the functional requirement of a MDMS (Meter data management system). (2017-19) 

Developing IT Strategy for DABS, the National Power utility of Afghanistan and providing capacity building and hand holding support in implementing ERP and billing solution for the utility. (2014-16) 

Developed the first ever Energy Billing Centre (EBC) in India in Odisha and later implemented the similar solution in Andhra Pradesh.
