Ajesh K Mathews is an Associate Director – IT Advisory at Nangia & Co LLP. He is a seasoned technical consultant and project management expert with over 16+ years of experience in e-Governance, IT advisory, software application development and digital transformation. His expertise spans the successful implementation of large-scale government and public sector initiatives, with a strong focus on technical and project management within the e-Governance domain. He plays a pivotal role in the execution of large-scale e-Governance initiatives and has been instrumental in the successful implementation of key projects such as the e-District Mission Mode Project (MMP) for the Government of Odisha, the e-Hospital system for SGPGI Lucknow, the Case Watch System for the Karnataka Appellate Tribunal and the Human Resource Management System(HRMS)2.0 for the Government of Karnataka.

With deep domain expertise in e-Governance, Ajesh has been actively involved in the preparation of critical project documentations, including functional and technical  documents. His strong capabilities in bid process management and service-level agreement (SLA) monitoring have significantly contributed to the success of multiple government-led digital transformation initiatives. He has collaborated closely with senior stakeholders and officials from various Government of Karnataka Departments, contributing to the conceptualization and implementation of a wide range of Government-to-Government (G2G), Government-to-Citizen (G2C), and Government-to-Employee (G2E) service transformation initiatives.

Ajesh is recognized as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in both Human Resource Management Systems (HRMS) and Judicial e-Governance solutions, providing strategic and technical leadership in the design, development, and deployment of these systems. He has designed and conceptualized the techno- functional architecture for HRMS and multiple  judicial automation projects, ensuring alignment with government objectives and stakeholder needs.

Currently, Ajesh is deputed as the Technical Manager and leads the Project Management Unit (PMU) at the HRMS 2 Directorate, managing the successful implementation of the HRMS 2.0 project for the Government of Karnataka. This flagship initiative delivers Government-to-Employee (G2E) services to over 520,000 Government employees across the state. Previously, he held key roles at SRIT Pvt. Ltd, National Institute for Smart Governance (NISG), and Grant Thornton LLP, where he contributed significantly to various e-Governance programs.
